RESEARCH INTERESTS
  • Research at the National Institutes of Health, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Much of her research has been on trace mineral nutrition, notably iron nutrition. Her work and subsequent publications on the bioavailability of iron salts and supplements brought her national and international attention through her numerous publications.
