Contained herein are the Admission,
Retention and Graduation policies of the Division of Allied Health
Sciences, as amended August, 2005.
The Division of Allied Health Sciences of Howard University offers
programs leading to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Clinical
Laboratory Science, Health Sciences (emphases in Health Management
Sciences, Pre-Occupational Therapy, and Pre-Physical Therapy),
Nutritional Sciences, Physician Assistant, and Radiation Therapy.
Master’s programs are offered in Nutritional Sciences,
Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. Although the Master
of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Nutritional Sciences program
comes under the purview of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences,
instruction of this program is conducted by faculty of the Department
of Nutritional Sciences in the Division of Allied Health Sciences.
The curricula in the individual departments are diverse and developed
to satisfy the general requirements of Howard University, the
Division of Allied Health Sciences, and the respective Accreditation
Agencies.
Following are the specific requirements as they pertain to applicants
and students enrolled in programs or courses in the Division of
Allied Health Sciences. Specific requirements of the individual
departments are stated in the document.
