Dr. Emmanuel Akala, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, was a consultant to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH, to evaluate proposals for the formulation and development of AIDS drugs.

Mr. Desmond M. Coverley, Assistant Professor, Health Management Sciences, Division of Allied Health Sciences, has received a scholarship to attend the 9th Annual Dr. Lonnie E. Mitchell National HBCU Substance Abuse and Mental Health Conference. The conference will be held in Washington, DC, March 29 - April 1, 2007.
