Howard University School of
Pharmacy invites application for two full time
practitioner/educators positions in the Department of
Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy Sciences (CAPS).
.Howard University, founded in 1867, is a comprehensive
research-oriented, historically African-American private
University with a rich and successful history of
training “Pharmacy Leaders for America and the Global
Community”.
These
positions are full-time twelve (12) month, non-tenure
track appointments at the rank of assistant professor.
These pharmacotherapy positions are in internal
medicine. The successful candidate will be expected to
develop a viable practice and engage in scholarly
endeavors within the discipline.
Minimum
qualifications for the positions include earned Doctor
of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited School of
Pharmacy plus post-graduate training (residency,
fellowship or equivalent experience), and teaching
experience. Eligibility for District of Columbia
Pharmacy Licensure is required. Excellent communication
and patient care skills are essential.
The
School of Pharmacy is one of three units in the College
of Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences. The
School has a diverse faculty and student body, has an
enrollment of approximately 325, and offers both a
traditional and non traditional Pharm.D
program.
The
