DIVISION OF NURSING TRIAL START PROGRAM

The "Trial Start" Program is a mechanism by which a registered nurse, with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and one year of professional nursing practice, may experience up to nine credits of selected graduate courses in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) curriculum before deciding to enroll in the program.  Students enroll in a Non-degree status and upon successful admission  to the FNP program, may transfer credit hours toward the degree.  Registered nurses with a Master of Science degree in Nursing and who are interested in the Post-master's Family Nurse Practitioner program may also pursue the "trial" option and will be subject to similar standards of admission and enrollment.
